Basketball Recap: Riverview Gardens Comes Up Short

After flying high against Metro-East Lutheran last Wednesday, Riverview Gardens came back down to earth. The Riverview Gardens Rams took a hard 47-32 fall against the Red Bud Musketeers on Saturday.

Red Bud found their leader in sophomore Talia Carter, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. That's the most boards Carter has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Jeda Kathryn Friess, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Riverview Gardens' loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Red Bud, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Riverview Gardens will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Red Bud, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-34 victory against Gibault Catholic on the 26th.
