Football Game Preview: Central City Bison vs. Aurora Huskies

For the second straight game, Central City will face off against Aurora. The Bison will face off against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central City is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Aurora a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Central City had been on an eight-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Aurora put an end to it on Friday. The Bison took a hard 27-12 fall against the Huskies. The game marked the Bison's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central City better keep an eye on Ian Jensen. He was instrumental in Aurora's win, rushing for 206 yards and two TDs. With that strong performance, Jensen is now averaging an impressive 102.1 rushing yards per game. Wyatt Pollet helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Aurora didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Central City to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The Huskies hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Aurora didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kashton Kleinschimdt, Garrett Kuehner, and Canon Allen picked up one apiece.

Aurora's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Central City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Parker Zikmund and Pollet. Zikmund just won't slow down this season and has thrown 30 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 234.1 passing yards per game. Pollet has been a dominant force too and has averaged 100.9 passing yards per game.

We should be in store for an exciting game as Central City and Aurora have no problem gaining yardage. The Bison have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 385.4 total yards per game. However, it's not like Aurora struggles in that department as they've been averaging 358.7 total yards.
