Volleyball Recap: Hamden Green Dragons vs. Foran Lions
Hamden was the 3-2 winner over Foran when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Hamden Green Dragons might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to the Foran Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Green Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-11, 25-22.
Despite the loss, Hamden still got an impressive performance from Ciara Vazquez, who had 23 digs. Vazquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had four or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nyah Boromei, who had six digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaby Magnuson, who had 14 digs.
Hamden's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Foran, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamden will square off against Shelton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Foran, they will face off against Guilford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
