Football Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Mineola Yellowjackets

The Eustace Bulldogs will square off against the Mineola Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Eustace and four for Mineola.

Eustace's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Commerce on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 64-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1132nd, while the Tigers are ranked 308th).

Meanwhile, Mineola played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 64-12 defeat at the hands of Commerce. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Eustace will have to contain Aidan Shepherd as he made an impact in Mineola's last game. He rushed for 44 yards and one TD.

Mineola's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Eustace, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Eustace was dealt a bruising 56-13 loss at the hands of Mineola in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Yellowjackets' Braelyn Geremonte, who rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
