Basketball Recap: Norwayne Bobcats vs. Tuscarawas Valley Trojans
Norwayne had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.

Norwayne had a senior duo take command as Ava Maibach went 8-for-11 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals and Allie Demassimo shot 45% from the field on her way to 15 points and six boards. The matchup was Maibach's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Courtney Cline was another key player, putting up seven points.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brennen Reichman, who posted eight points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyla Woloch, who earned five points.
Norwayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-6 win against Northwestern on the 25th. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 57-55 defeat against Carrollton on the 25th.
