While Alexander Central's victory against St. Stephens wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Indians 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Carter Bowman tossed a big game, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jude Carter and Koa Mikeal did most of the damage at the plate: Carter went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Mikeal went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple was Mikeal's first of the season.
