Football Game Preview: Shades Valley Mounties vs. Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The Shades Valley Mounties will venture away from home to challenge the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Shades Valley nor Booker T. Washington posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

On Friday, Shades Valley took a blow against Mountain Brook, falling 34-7. While losing is never fun, the Mounties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Spartans are ranked 28th).

Shades Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Antwan Kelser, who rushed for 84 yards, and Sean Sigler, who rushed for 16 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 42-12 defeat at the hands of Handley. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Golden Eagles, who until this contest were averaging 14 points allowed.

Although Booker T. Washington took the loss, they still got scores from Dylan Purter and Jaden Woods.

Shades Valley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.
