Volleyball Recap: Canby Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Alexa Vernlund and Jaryn Houseman

The Canby Lancers didn't have quite enough to beat the Rocori Spartans on Friday and fell 2-1. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Canby's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaryn Houseman, who had 17 digs and one assist, and Alexa Vernlund, who had six digs and three aces.

Leading Rocori to victory were Eliett Satterstrom and Chloe Labine. Satterstrom had eight digs and two aces, while Labine had 12 assists and three digs.

Canby's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Rocori, their record is now 13-11.

Canby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bemidji on the 11th. As for Rocori, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Willmar on the 11th.
