Basketball Game Preview: Clearwater Tornadoes vs. Seminole Warhawks

The Clearwater Tornadoes will take on the Seminole Warhawks at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Clearwater is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season.

Clearwater took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Countryside by a score of 48-40.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clearwater to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyden Heniger, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Heniger a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavaris Gant, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Seminole earned a 51-43 win over Lake Weir on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warhawks.

Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Clearwater, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Clearwater came up short against Seminole in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 59-52. Can Clearwater avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
