Basketball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short at Home Against Desert Ridge

Skyline unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 52-43 to the Desert Ridge Jaguars on Tuesday. The Coyotes have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Bowens, who posted 13 points and three steals. Connor Grover was another key player, going 6-for-10 en route to 14 points and five boards.

Looking ahead, Skyline will take on Mingus in a tournament on Friday. As for Desert Ridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gilbert Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
