Volleyball Recap: Mountain Valley Wolves vs. Creede Miners
Mountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Creede Miners. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Miners this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on Friday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17.
Milley Knight paced Mountain Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Knight got some help from Ivy Jean VanEgmond and her 11 assists. VanEgmond was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Mountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Creede, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Mountain Valley will welcome Cotopaxi at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Creede, they will head out on the road to challenge Sierra Grande at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
