Basketball Recap: Chatham Charter Gets the Win + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Chatham Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 67-66 photo finish over the Phoenix Academy Firebirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-54 last Tuesday.

Chatham Charter found their leader in sophomore Ryder Murphy, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 20 points along with seven boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murphy has scored all season. Breylan Harris was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.

The victory got Chatham Charter back to even at 2-2. As for Phoenix Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chatham Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against NCSSM: Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Phoenix Academy, they will face off against Surry HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
