Volleyball Recap: New Brockton Takes a Loss

New Brockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Opp Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-11.

Rylie Kate Thrash was nothing short of spectacular for Opp: she had ten aces and four digs. With that strong performance, Thrash is now averaging an impressive 2.6 aces per game.

New Brockton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Opp, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Brockton will face off against Charles Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Opp, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kinston at 6:00 p.m.
