Football Recap: Santee's Rushing Attack Does It Again

Santee won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Monday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Democrats with a sharp 49-28 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Santee can attribute much of their success to Daynian Alvarado, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Alvarado has posted since back in September of 2024.

Alvarado was just one part of a punishing run game: Santee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 678 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in 14 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Santee's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jerome Milner, Jared Fernandez, and Martin Alvarez, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Santee's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Jefferson, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
