Football Recap: Nyssa Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Nyssa's offense. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Vale Vikings. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Cal Johnson was a one-man wrecking crew For Vale. as he rushed for 63 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, and also threw for 166 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. Thomas Rodriguez was another key player, gaining 39 total yards.

Nyssa now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Vale, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Nyssa will be playing in front of their home fans against Umatilla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vale, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Burns at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
