Connor Sams Has Career Rushing Day

Starting off the list is Gretna East's Connor Sams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Sams rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The victory (which was Gretna East's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Sams and Gretna East will welcome Ralston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Gretna got the W thanks in part to Logan Secora playing the best football he has all season. Secora rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

The win snapped Gretna's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Secora and Gretna will be playing at home against Platteview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

M Brown Posts Huge Game in 19-14 Win

Ralston took down Crete on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Conner M Brown's performance. Crete had no answer to M Brown as he rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown.

The win got Ralston back to even at 3-3. M Brown and Ralston will challenge Gretna East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Chase Grow Makes It Two for Gretna East

The second Gretna East player making an appearance here is Chase Grow, and for good reason. He threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
