Preview: Olympus Titans vs. Highland Rams

The Olympus Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Olympus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Olympus was able to grind out a solid victory over Skyline, taking the game 48-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Olympus.

Joss Baker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keily Trabanino, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Highland, who are still winless after their 12th matchup. They took a serious blow against West on Tuesday, falling 64-31. While losing is never fun, Highland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while West is ranked 26th).

Despite the loss, Highland got a solid performance out of Katinia Olevao, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

The victory got Olympus back to even at 8-8. As for Highland, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12.

Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Olympus have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 40.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Highland, though, as they've only made 26.6% of their threes per game this season. Given Olympus' sizeable advantage in that area, Highland will need to find a way to close that gap.

Everything came up roses for Olympus against Highland in their previous meeting on January 3rd as the team secured a 66-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olympus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
