Volleyball Recap: Seneca's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seneca can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Pinelands Regional Wildcats on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Seneca was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pinelands Regional work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 27-25, 25-16.

Pinelands Regional got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayda Quigley out in front who had 22 digs, eight kills, and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Quigley a new career-high in assists (three). Chloe Tucker was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Pinelands Regional, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-4.

Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinelands Regional, they will face off against Holmdel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
