Hyde Park strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over the Rockford Auburn Knights. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 73-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Rockford Auburn lost, don't look at Amir Danforth. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and five boards. Danforth is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Champ Parker, who earned ten points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Hyde Park's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rockford Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Hyde Park will head out to square off against DePaul College Prep at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Rockford Auburn, they will host Lanphier at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
