Volleyball Recap: Newfound Regional Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newfound Regional can now relate to. They came up short against the Concord Christian Kingsmen on Wednesday, falling 3-0. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Kingsmen when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Newfound Regional and nudges their season record down to 8-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 18-0 Inter-Lakes (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79.4% over those games). As for Concord Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Newfound Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concord Christian, they will face off against Inter-Lakes on Friday.
