Volleyball Game Preview: Cato-Meridian Blue Devils vs. Hannibal Warriors

The Cato-Meridian Blue Devils will take on the Hannibal Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Cato-Meridian didn't have quite enough to beat Hamilton and fell 3-2. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Emerald Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cato-Meridian sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 28-26, 20-25, 15-4.

Meanwhile, Hannibal came up short against Hamilton two weeks ago, falling 3-0.

While Hannibal was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hamilton's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-19.

Hannibal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cato-Meridian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Cato-Meridian beat Hannibal 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
