Football Recap: Mother McAuley Takes a Loss

Mother McAuley fell victim to Lyons and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Lions and fell 38-0. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Macs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Lions are ranked 19th).

Mother McAuley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lyons, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mother McAuley is set to take on their familiar foe Whitney Young at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lyons will square off against rival Downers Grove North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
