Basketball Recap: Chesterfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chesterfield extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were outmatched by the Hartsville Red Foxes and fell 64-33. The Golden Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.

As for Hartsville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 28, 2024 (when they won 72-32).

Kayson Dawson was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 6-for-14 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justin Hines, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chesterfield will challenge Evans at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hartsville, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against West Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
