Soccer Game Preview: Bentley vs. Albany

The Bentley Phoenix will take on the Albany Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bentley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.

Bentley will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal back in December of 2024, then bounced right back against Athenian on Thursday. Bentley blew past Athenian 4-1. Considering the Phoenix have won three matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Athenian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Charlotte Perry (2), Maya Rose, and Asha Adansi.

Meanwhile, Albany kept a clean sheet against Pinole Valley on Thursday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Albany has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five games. As for Bentley, they pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
