Baseball Game Preview: DuBois Beavers vs. Upper St. Clair Panthers

The DuBois Beavers will take on the Upper St. Clair Panthers on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as DuBois comes in on three and Upper St. Clair on five.

DuBois is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Montour 2-1.

Noah Farrell was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Farrell wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Trey Wingard, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair won against South Fayette on Wednesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Panthers beat New Oxford by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2.

DuBois' victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Upper St. Clair, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
