Douglas County West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Concordia 21-7 on Friday. The Falcon haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Douglas County West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Olsen, who threw for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ashton Harlow handled things on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.

Douglas County West didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Concordia to a completion percentage of just 47.6%. The Falcon weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 58.8%.

Meanwhile, Mount Michael Benedictine faced Wahoo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights were outmatched by the Warriors and fell 62-21. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Jedd Ramold and Kip Brigham. Brigham had a great game and gained 374 total yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Ramold was balling out in the loss, rushing for 109 yards and two scores.

Mount Michael Benedictine's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Douglas County West, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Douglas County West didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mount Michael Benedictine when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 14-8 victory.
