Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Cameron

Cameron put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Caney Cougars by a score of 6-3. For the Yellow Jackets, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Jax Adcock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Adcock was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Adcock wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jason Pinkston, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Andy Moorehead was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Cameron's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Caney, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Cameron will take on Soper at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caney, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Caney Cougars take on Battiest Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
