MacArthur is 0-10 against Sacred Heart-Griffin since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Generals will head out to face off against the Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. MacArthur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

MacArthur's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Lanphier 17-0. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Luke Karunas made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Aidan Bruce was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jamison England was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

MacArthur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lanphier only posted an OBP of .154.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart-Griffin faced Edwardsville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Cyclones came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-1. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

MacArthur now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

MacArthur suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Sacred Heart-Griffin in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
