Basketball Recap: South Ripley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

With a playoff win on the line, South Ripley rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past the Southwestern Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 75-60. The game was the first time the Raiders have beaten the Rebels on their court since February 6, 2020.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Kidwell, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Goode, who shot 58% from the field en route to 17 points.

The win (which was South Ripley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Coming up, South Ripley will take on Forest Park at 7:00 p.m. on March 15th. Forest Park will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South Ripley surely won't give up without a fight. Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
