Football Recap: Hartselle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hartselle can now relate to. They fell 31-24 to the Homewood Patriots on Friday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this contest were averaging 10.58 points allowed.

When it comes to explaining why Hartselle lost, don't look at Carter Lee. Despite the final result, he threw for 166 yards and three touchdowns.

Kaleb Carson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 127 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 225 yards and one TD for Homewood. Those 127 rushing yards gave Carson a new career-high.

Hartselle's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Homewood, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Hartselle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Homewood, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 35-17 defeat against Clay-Chalkville on the 21st.
