Football Recap: Eisenhower Cadets vs. Sunnyside Grizzlies
Eisenhower extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They took a blow against the Sunnyside Grizzlies, falling 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 65th).
Angel Arciga threw for 54 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Jesse Jurado was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.
As for Sunnyside, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Ryan Hendrickson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 208 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Sunnyside also got help from Mason Strieck, who showed off his sure hands for 142 receiving yards.
Coming up, Eisenhower will take on Pasco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Sunnyside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
