Basketball Recap: Kirbyville Takes a Loss

Kirbyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rosehill Christian Eagles.

Among those leading the charge was Lauren Peart, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Mya Johnson, who had eight points.

Kirbyville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Rosehill Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Coming up, Kirbyville will head out to square off against Anahuac at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Rosehill Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 42-36 win against Evadale on the 6th.
