Basketball Recap: Centura Find Success

Central City came into Friday's match looking for another win against Centura, but Barrett Fries wouldn't allow it. The Centura Centurions managed a 53-49 victory over the Central City Bison on Friday thanks in part to Fries, who went 14 of 25 on his way to 34 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Those 34 points gave him a new career-high.

Centura's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Central City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Centura wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-32 defeat against Fillmore Central on the 14th. As for Central City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minden at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
