Basketball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. Moon Valley Rockets + Official Tickets

The Tempe Buffaloes will venture away from home to face off against the Moon Valley Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tempe has given up an average of 62.6 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Tempe ended up a good deal behind Marcos de Niza and lost 64-50.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josiah Criss, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Murphy, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Moon Valley beat Washington 58-52 on Wednesday.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Moon Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Tempe against Moon Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 72-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
