Basketball Recap: Presque Isle Takes a Loss

Presque Isle lost against Mount Desert Island back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Presque Isle Wildcats received a blow as they fell 66-52 to the Mount Desert Island Trojans.

Presque Isle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Mount Desert Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Presque Isle and Mount Desert Island could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings. Presque Isle will take on Ellsworth at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday down 23 places (28 vs. 5). Similarly, Mount Desert Island (ranked 25th) will meet Caribou (ranked first) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
