Volleyball Recap: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] Comes Up Short

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Alma Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Alma this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Rilee Schutz paced Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s offense, picking up 15 kills. Schutz got some help from Klaire Pohl and her 28 assists. Schutz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Alma can attribute much of their success to Player #28, who had 15 digs and two aces. Player #28 is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. Maryn Mintzmyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Alma, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Medicine Valley on the 16th. As for Alma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Southwest on the 16th.
