The Northpoint Christian Trojans will head out to face off against the Munford Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northpoint Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.

Northpoint Christian blew Millington Central out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Millington Central got their revenge. Northpoint Christian fell just short of Millington Central by a score of 9-7. Northpoint Christian's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Faith Ryan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Josie Beth Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Munford unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crockett County.

Munford's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Northpoint Christian, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 17-4.

Everything went Northpoint Christian's way against Munford in their previous matchup back in March, as Northpoint Christian made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
