Baseball Recap: San Luis Comes Up Short

San Luis lost against Brawley on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The San Luis Sidewinders fell just short of the Brawley Wildcats by a score of 6-5. The Sidewinders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Luis saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zaid Cardenas, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Arnold Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Even though they lost, San Luis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Brawley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, San Luis will challenge Marana at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. San Luis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Brawley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
