Basketball Recap: Johnsonville Comes Up Short on the Road Against Georgetown

Johnsonville had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Georgetown Bulldogs, falling 73-39. The Flashes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Georgetown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Nesbit, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Haiden Reed, who scored 13 points and five boards.

Looking ahead, Johnsonville will challenge Socastee at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Georgetown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mullins at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
