There's no place like home for Pleasant Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Franklin Wildcats get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.
Madeline Lawson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shealynn Stinson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Lila Rooney also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
