Soccer Recap: Walkersville's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Walkersville lost against South Carroll back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions lost 5-1 to the Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, Walkersville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while South Carroll are ranked second).

Walkersville's goal came courtesy of Isabel Vanderau, who's now up to six this season.

Walkersville's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4-1. As for South Carroll, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Walkersville will take on Poolesville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
