Basketball Recap: Butternut Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Butternut had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Hurley Northstars 66-4 on Monday. The Midgets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 26 in a row dating back to last season.

The win got Hurley back to even at 1-1.

Butternut will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lac Courte Oreilles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Butternut is facing Lac Courte Oreilles at the right time seeing as Lac Courte Oreilles is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hurley, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Drummond at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
