Football Recap: St. John's Jesuit Takes a Loss

St. John's Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the De La Salle Collegiate Pilots, falling 48-22. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 211th in Ohio, while the Pilots are ranked 62nd in Michigan).

St. John's Jesuit now has a losing record of 4-5. As for De La Salle Collegiate, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, St. John's Jesuit will challenge University of Detroit Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Cubs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.57 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for De La Salle Collegiate, they will take on Elder at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so the Pilots' offense will have their work cut out for them.
