Softball Recap: Starmont Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waukon on Friday, Starmont came back down to earth. The Stars fell 7-3 to the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Stars in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Starmont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Edgewood-Colesburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 28-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Starmont by a score of 10-0 later that day.
