Baseball Recap: Bethel Sets Scoring Season-High Against Heritage

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethel). They put the hurt on the Heritage Hurricanes with a sharp 17-2 win on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Tuesday.

Conner Lamb was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bethel's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Ryder Zeman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bethel is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Heritage, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.
