Van Buren took a 30-point loss the last time they faced off against Rogers, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pointers skirted past the Mountaineers 75-73. The Pointers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Van Buren's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rogers, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
