Football Game Preview: Randolph Ro-Hawks vs. Florence Buffaloes

The Randolph Ro-Hawks will challenge the Florence Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Randolph and 13 for Florence dating back to last season.

Randolph's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Llano on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Ro-Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 900th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 322nd).

Meanwhile, Florence came up short against Luling on Friday and fell 17-6.

Randolph will have to contain Mariano Palacios as he made an impact in Florence's last game. He rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Randolph against Florence in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-20 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Buffaloes' Jose Danny Castelan, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Ro-Hawks to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
