Volleyball Recap: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Woodstock Wolverines

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pope, Sequoyah was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Woodstock Wolverines. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in September.

Sequoyah never let Woodstock on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Sequoyah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Mcrobert out in front who had 14 digs. Mcrobert is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Henderson, who had seven digs.

Despite the loss, Woodstock still got an impressive performance from Lauren Nobis, who had 17 digs.

Sequoyah is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for Woodstock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-8.

As of now, neither Sequoyah nor Woodstock have any future games scheduled.
