Softball Game Preview: Agoura Chargers vs. Granada Hills Charter Highlanders

The Agoura Chargers will square off against the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Agoura beat El Segundo 4-1.

Chaden Chatelain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Amaya Del Olmo, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jordy Charash, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter got themselves on the board against Burbank on Tuesday, but Burbank never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 10-0. The Highlanders have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Addison Moorman looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Elysse Diaz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Jimenez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Granada Hills Charter's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Agoura, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
