Jones suffers sixth straight loss on the road

Recap: Jones Trojans vs. Hebbronville Longhorns

The Jones Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Hebbronville by a score of 44-42.

Hebbronville was led to victory by Oscar Carrillo and Alejandro Vasquez. Carrillo scored 11 points along with 5 steals, while Vasquez scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds. Carrillo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joseph Benavides, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.

Jones bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hebbronville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Jones' road trip will continue as they head out to face Canyon Lake at 2:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Hebbronville, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Falfurrias at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Falfurrias is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.6 points per game.
